Day 1
Nairobi – Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your budget Masai Mara safari begins with a 7:30 AM pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You will travel by road through the scenic Great Rift Valley, enjoying sweeping landscapes and rural Kenyan countryside as you head toward the Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Kenya’s top safari destinations, known for its wide-open plains, abundant wildlife, and strong cultural heritage. It offers excellent chances to spot the Big Five safari animals—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino—along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.

Between July and October, the reserve becomes the stage for the world-famous Great Wildebeest Migration, when millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing land, closely followed by predators such as lions and leopards.

In the late afternoon, you will be guided by Maasai warriors (Morans) on a short walking safari and cultural experience, offering insight into traditional Maasai life and customs.

Day 2
Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

Depart early at 6:00 AM for a morning game drive, when wildlife activity is at its peak. Return to your camp for breakfast and rest during the day. Later, head out again at 4:00 PM for an afternoon game drive, returning by 6:30 PM for dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 3
Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley.

On arrival, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, cormorants, and many other bird species. The boat ride offers peaceful scenery and close wildlife encounters.

After the boat trip, proceed to a nearby animal sanctuary for a guided walking safari, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a safe and natural setting.

Later, drive back to Nairobi and transfer you to your hotel or the airport for your onward or homebound flight, marking the end of your 3-day Kenya safari.
